President Muhammadu Buhari said yesterday that 83 million unfortunate Nigerians will profit from the National Health Insurance Authority Bill 2022 he endorsed into regulation.
The National Health Insurance Authority Act 2022 supplanted the canceled National Health Insurance Scheme Act Cap N42, Laws of the Federation of Nigeria 2004.

An assertion gave by the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Mallam Garba Shehu, cited Buhari as saying: “For the enormous number of weak people who can’t pay health care coverage charges, a Vulnerable Group Fund will be set up to incorporate a part of the Basic Health Care Provision Fund because of the Authority, Health Insurance Levy, Special Intervention Fund, and any speculation continues, gifts and gifts to the Authority.”
