Update: Resistance with continuous strike ASUU to inquiry defaulting varsities

The Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, has taken steps to inquiry colleges that have neglected to consent to its choice to stay protesting while talks with the Federal Government proceeds.

ASUU President, Prof Emmanuel Osodeke, expressed this in a meeting with the News Agency of Nigeria in Abuja, yesterday.

Review that ASUU had been protesting for the beyond five months to squeeze home its requests.

Since the association left protesting, a couple of its individuals have pulled out of the continuous strike to continue their scholastic exercises.

As per Osodeke, “we will rebuff the individuals who have pulled out from our continuous strike the suitable way.

“We will question them and we will follow it up the fitting way. We have even questioned some of them as per the association.”

Osodeke likewise noticed that since the last three sided in addition to meeting called by the Chief of Staff to the President on the continuous modern activity quite a long time back, there had been no other gathering.

He expressed that there was nothing substantial that emerged from the last gathering held at the official estate.

“We have not been required some other gathering since that time and government didn’t offer us anything, they simply request that we meet with the council, that was all,” Osodeke said.

He additionally said the association would meet with government soon.
